This is a choice of one, two or three events in five combinations so that some of us can go ten pin bowling and some of us can go to the cinema and then if you wish all meet up to have dinner at the Flaming Dragon Oriental Restaurant, or simply meet us for dinner.
It all takes place at Xscape, Castleford.
So the five choices are.
1). Just go ten pin bowling.
2). Just go to see a film.
3). Just have dinner at the Flaming Dragon Oriental Restaurant.
4). Go ten pin bowling and then have dinner at the Flaming Dragon Restaurant.
5). Go to see a film and then have dinner at the Flaming Dragon Oriental Restaurant.
The choice is yours. Just contact either Wendy or Alex at the phone numbers or email addresses shown at the bottom of this page to let us know your choice and get more details on times and possible car sharing.

Flaming Dragon Oriental Restaurant
Escape from the routine of the usual Sunday beef and Yorkshire pudding.
Nothing wrong with the tried and tested beef and Yorkshire pudding of course, but why not join with lots of your fellow U3A friends for something different at the renowned AAGRAH Indian restaurant housed in the old school at Garforth.
They have a superb menu and surroundings for a memorable early evening meal.
For more information on times and possible car sharing just contact Wendy or Alex at the phone numbers or email addresses shown at the bottom of this page.

JAZZ at the SPA - YORKSHIRE'S PREMIER JAZZ VENUE
Boston Spa has been hosting Jazz for many years.
Why not come with you fellow U3A Jazz aficionados to what is said to be the best Jazz venue in the area.
The line up is Dave Shepherd + Roger Nobes + John Pearce + Len Skeat.
Bring your own bottle or whatever and glasses are provided.
If we get sufficient interest we will investigate the possibility of either taxis or minibuses.
Contact Wendy or Alex to let either of us know if you would like to come along.
The cost is £8.00. Doors open at 7.00pm and there is Music from 8.00pm until 10.30pm.

How well do you know Wetherby?
Come and join in the fun in trying to locate the clues.
Pit you wits and your observational skills against your fellow U3A members.
Some pictures clues, some cryptic clues, some easy, some difficult, some almost impossible, well we do need to make sure we get an outright winner!
Afterwards we can maybe visit the Wetherby Whaler?
Contact Wendy or Alex at the phone numbers and email addresses at the bottom of this page to let either of us know if you would like to join in the fun..
Cat spotting?
Some kind of joke, don't cats keep moving about and running away?
Not these cats, they are statues!
There are 17 cat statues in the centre of York.
But you may not have seen them unless you look to the skies
They are up on the sides and windowsills of buildings in York
All we have to do is find them in a pre-designated area or if you prefer we can simply follow the map showing their locations.
There is a web site showing their location if you want to cheat.
We can also visit Holgate Mill which has been recently restored.
Holgate windmill has five sails and was originally built in 1770 and grinding corn until 1933.
Restoration has been taking place over many years from 2006 until 2011.
Contact Wendy or Alex at the phone numbers and email addresses at the bottom of this page to let either of us know if you would like find the cats and see the windmill.

Guinea Pig Night
Are you an Adventurous Diner?
Do you like an element of Surprise and Fun with your Food?
If so Monday Night at the Piazza is right up your street!
Why?
Because Every Monday Night is Guinea Pig Night
But don't worry its not gastronomy gone mad..rather than a menu consisting of adored childhood pets , its you the guest who becomes our guinea pig for the evening for the reward of a bargain meal and a chance to try out new dishes and future menu's.
The Rules
Tell us when you order if you have any allergies or food intolerances and we'll make sure we don't serve you anything you can't stand!
You can swap dishes between guests on your table, you can share dishes and you can give us feedback but you can't send dishes back to the kitchen.
You'll never know what is going to be served until its put in front of you, so being an adventurous diner helps
Three courses plus coffee for £24.95 per person.
Contact Wendy or Alex at the phone numbers and email addresses at the bottom of this page to let either of us know if you would like to join in the fun..
